Happy October

Well the semester is going fast... before you know it, it will be Christmas. In the mean time, life is going by at well the speed of life.

Clayton and I are doing extremely well. We are pushing a year now... November 9th is our anniversary and I feel closer to him now than I ever have. I am not sure what happened, I just woke up one day and realized that this is really working out. He does not push me, does not get upset when I have to do homework, and does not require me to be verbally committal, which are all downfalls of previous relationships. Somewhere along the line I realized that I just had to let go of some of the control.

As for school, it is hectic as ever. There is so much reading, sometimes I just can't keep up with it all... but it is all for a greater good... we are being molded to be become experts in our chosen area of expertise. My classes are going well. I got an A on my first Statistics test, and a high B on my second one. Usually, I would by crying over a B, but in this class ... it is above average for a good student. One of the things I am learning is that I have to let go of GPA too, no one really cares but me. I have to maintain above a B average to remain in the program, but a B every now and then is not going to kill me or my future.

Its October... and its almost Halloween... I was talking to my friend the other day, and she has never carved a pumpkin... so here's a link for her, and all others who don't want to get messy but would still like to carve a pumpkin...

Carve a Pumpkin

Thought for the day: "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." - Seneca

Funny Story: In Redondo Beach, Calif., a police officer arrested a driver after a short chase and charged him with drunk driving. Officer Joseph Fonteno's suspicions were aroused when he saw the white Mazda MX-7 rolling down Pacific Coast Highway with half of a traffic-light pole, including the lights, lying across its hood. The driver had hit the pole on a median strip and simply kept driving. According to Fonteno, when the driver was asked about the pole, he said, "It came with the car when I bought it."

Well that's all I've got for today folks... happy October!
